Изучая инфинитив в английском языке, мы, так или иначе, узнаем о такой замечательной конструкции, которая имеет целых два названия: сложное дополнение, Complex Object и The Accusative with the Infinitive. Как называть этот комплекс в английском языке, каждый выбирает сам. Но первое название все-таки более распространено и легко узнаваемо, поэтому в заглавие этой статьи мы вынесли именно его.

Complex Subject в английском языке (the Nominative with the Infinitive). Эти конструкции похожи лишь тем, что в них обеих используется инфинитив в английском языке. Однако, в отличие от сложного дополнения, в сложном подлежащем основными составляющими элементами помимо инфинитива является либо имя существительное в общем падеже, либо местоимение в именительном падеже. А инфинитив в Complex Subject в английском языке может быть во всех своих шести формах.

Инфинитив – это неопределенная форма глагола. Стандартная форма инфинитива в английском языке образуется при помощи базовой (словарной) формы глагола, которой предшествует частица to. Но есть определенное количество случаев, когда он используется без этой частицы. Здесь мы уже говорим о таком понятии, как «голый инфинитив» — bare infinitive. 

У английского глагола есть две формы – личная и неличная. Всего английский язык насчитывает три неличные формы глагола: инфинитив, герундий и причастие. Эта статья расскажет вам об инфинитиве в английском языке.

He gives her a second chance to fix it until the midnight. The day was unlucky for her. A loud party prevented her from sleeping the whole night. Then a squalling cat bothered her. The members of the school archaeology club received a summer task. The children have to do a summer task about their town during the Second World War. The summer holidays are approaching to the end but some pupils haven’t even started the project. Four friends cooperated together with a common aim — to do the task quickly. There was an airfield in their town. It was a very important place during the war. Now it has a historical value. So, the pupils gathered there for the research. They had been taking photos among the ruins when a terrible storm began. It was raining, the lightning was flashing and there was thunder. Suddenly a fire aircraft dropped out from the dark clouds and crashed onto the house. The house was in fire. A stranger appeared from nowhere. He was dressed as a military pilot. The man desperately shouted for help as there were children crying in the house.

Howard woke up from a terrible nightmare. In reality, he got into a bigger one. He was at the hospital with a broken head. The policemen called him Mr. Black. But Howard knew definitely that it wasn't his name. Unfortunately, he could not remember his right name. He lost his memory due to the injury. The police did not believe him. They started questioning him immediately. Howard was accused of illegal penetration into the house, murder of an old woman and stealing a green dragon. The man remembered nothing except the red eyes of the mysterious dragon and blood. He clearly understood that he was not a criminal. He was a victim. Howard runs away from the hospital at night. He has to regain his memory and prove that he is not guilty.

Just before the main character dies, he decides to share and get his feelings out. He writes about something that has led him to such a bitter end. The readers should prepare for a confession and exploring the most secret corners of the desperate souls. The main character tells us that he had been loving animals since childhood. He and his wife had many pets including a big black cat named Pluto. This cat was special. It loved his owner and had a deep bond with him. Their mutual friendship had been lasting for several years, until the narrator became an alcoholic. One day the man came home being drunk. He decided the pet was avoiding him. When he tried to seize it, the frightened cat bit its owner. In a moment of rage the man seized the animal and cut out the cat's eye

When I married my second wife Emily, I moved to her house in Northern California. It is a big house with a lot of land around it. It is outside a small town. The next house is almost exactly the same. It belongs to Emily's sister Millicent. Millicent and Emily. The sisters. But their appearances and character are completely different. The narrator has been spending several days attempting to cheer up Roderick, but it is unable. Roderick suggested that this house is making him sick, something which the narrator has already suspected.
